The government relations practice represents a coordinated package of legal, political, governmental and communications skills and talents to provide assistance with legislative representation and monitoring services, grassroots political and legal strategies, public relations, local government affairs and trade associations management general counsel.

Nexsen Pruet represents clients at all levels of government to ensure that each client's views can be heard by appropriate officials and party leaders.

Our legal staff includes a former Director of the South Carolina Department of Revenue under two administrations; a member of the Board, former Staff Counsel, and Assistant General Counsel of the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC); a member of the Board of the SC Public Service Commission; a Deputy Securities Commissioner and General Counsel in the Secretary of State's Office; a former Assistant Attorney General in the SC Office of the Attorney General, and a former Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Development for the Office of the Governor.
