Bill Hanna Joins Nexsen Pruet January 16, 2007
Myrtle Beach, SC — Willard D. “Bill” Hanna, who has been practicing law for more than 25 years, has joined the Myrtle Beach office of Nexsen Pruet as a Member (partner) in the firm and will practice with the litigation group.
Hanna was previously a partner with Harris & Hanna in Surfside Beach, S.C. Hanna’s extensive legal background includes zoning, construction litigation and mediation and arbitration. He has represented insurance-related interests in both the public and private sectors.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Bill’s caliber join our firm,” said Leighton Lord, board chairman of Nexsen Pruet. “With his skills and experience, he’s going to play an important role in the firm’s continued expansion of our coastal practice.”
Hanna is a former prosecutor and he served as a city judge in Surfside, SC. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, and has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of South Carolina, the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
