Thomas H. Johnson, Jr.

Thomas H. ("Tom") Johnson, Jr. practices with the firm's the real estate practice group.  He has more than two decades of experience in a broad range of real estate matters.  While at his former firm, Tom created and led the Zoning and Land Use Planning Group, which handled all types of complex real estate transactions.

He assists clients with closing loan transactions, preparing commercial leases for retail and office space, commercial development and financing, and other related real estate issues.  Using his experience from serving on the Greenville City Council and his background in commercial real estate development, Tom represents clients in planning, zoning, and land use matters throughout eastern North Carolina.

Tom's background in the telecommunications industry is broad-based and includes all matters related to placing wireless networks in North and South Carolina.  In his land-use practice, he has assisted in the permitting of large multi-use commercial developments and residential developments.  Tom has appeared successfully before county planning commissions, zoning boards and elected bodies in North and South Carolina.

He also has extensive business experience including the formation of business entities, contracts, secured transactions and mergers, and business litigation.  He assists clients with issues related to the business operations of all types of businesses, including service and retail, and handles all types of acquisitions, including those related to due diligence.

Johnson has extensive experience in handling real estate and zoning matters in the wireless telecommunications industry. Along with the Triad Area, he works in Eastern North Carolina, covering Wilmington, Greenville and Raleigh.
